#MeToo: how a hashtag became a rallying cry against sexual harassment

“If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote ‘Me too’ as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem.”
As the new week begins and the stories of sexual harassment starts fading off the face of the internet, I'd like to give a gentle reminder to everyone that this never ends.
That first experience will always be etched in your mind. And as time goes on, it will keep happening. No matter what you wear or where you are, it will keep happening. You get so used to it(which you obviously shouldn't, but is the heartbreaking truth) that after a point if you react to it, you blame yourself and think you're overreacting. A random passerby, your help, your family member, your lover, your best friend, whoever it may be, you don't need to take that shit from anyone. However big or small the harassment is, these are incidents that may make or break you. I hope this campaign has helped millions across the world to have the courage to stand up for themselves and fight against it! #metoo
